doesn’t apply anymore. Even though King’s article is great, it was written almost 20 years ago. Most of the major publishers who accepted unagented submissions back then don’t accept them anymore. But I liked the article so much, and there were so MANY good points, I hated not to post it.

Stephen King has long been my favorite author. While some are quick to jump on him for being so mainstream now, he is where we’d all love to be. True, his best works were early in his career, when he was the hungriest, but he is still among the elite. Maybe he should consider updating these twenty year-old words of advice. ;)
